Penampang Padi Fields

At the Penampang padi fields or what used to be padi fields. One of my personal favourite spots for shooting sunrise and Mt Kinabalu, or just sitting and listening to the pipits. The morning sun would rise from behind Mt Kinabalu and that first light was s0 gloriously sweet! The land has been left unploughed for two years or so now, not sure what is happening but unverified sources said expect buildings here. Quite sad if that's the case. This used to be beautiful with padi growing - a carpet of green of young padi and then a spread of gold ready for harvest. Things change, places change - I'm grateful and glad I got a chance to enjoy the padi growing days here. This was taken on a gloomy kind of day but still, what a view eh?
