Bungin Island

๐Ÿ“Alas

Bungin Island is known as the most populous island in the world. This island is located in Alas District, Sumbawa Besar, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. With an area of โ€‹โ€‹around 8.5 hectares, this island located in the sea off Bali is mostly inhabited by the Bajo tribe. The Bajo tribe has existed on Bungin Island since 200 years ago. The houses on this island are built on mounds of sand and coral that are stuck together and there is almost no space left. The nickname of the most populous island in the world has now become a special attraction for foreign tourists. Unlike most islands, on Bungin you won't find beaches or shorelines. The reason is, every inch of the island has been renovated into residential homes. As soon as you set foot on Bungin Island, you will be greeted with a very lively rural feel. On both parts of the island you will only see houses standing side by side Currently, Bungin Island is one of the tourist destinations in Sumbawa Regency. If you plan to visit this island, don't miss the opportunity to taste the delicious and delicious Bajo seafood culinary delights. The island has several floating restaurants serving many seafood dishes. The price is very affordable. Tourists can enjoy fresh fish and choose fish directly from the fish breeding pond. Administratively, Bungin Island is located in Alas District, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Even though this island is relatively small, there are two piers there, located in the southern and western parts of the island. Even though it is called the most populous island, the residents of Bungin Island still feel at home there. They feel warm and comfortable and do not want to move to the nearest island on the mainland of Sumbawa which is still uninhabited. Apart from exploring every turn on Bungin Island, you can also watch the procession of house construction there. Unlike other places, to build a house here you don't need any land at all. Usually residents build the foundations of their houses using dead coral. Bungin Island seems to be getting wider because many houses stand outside the actual island. #guidebook #pindleindonesia #pindleambasaddor #visitlomboksumbawa #naturelandscape
