Gorakhnath Temple is also know as Gorakhnath Math, a hindu temple dedicated Lord Shiva.The famous festival of the temple is Maha Sakranti. The name Gorakhnath was devined from the maha saint “Gorakhnath”, a yogi who travelled across the india. The famous Nath tradition in the temple was found by guru Matsyendranath. The solar dynasty of the Kshatriyas, who were ruling the entire dynasty including the God Rama in Ramayana. 📌 Festivals Celebrated at Gorakhnath Mandir ▪️ Every year on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, thousands of devotees visit Gorakhnath Mandir of Gorakhpur to offer their prayers and Khichdi to Gorakhnath Baba. The temple is also occasionally visited by The King of Nepal during such festivals. ▪️ A month-long fair is held here from the day Makar Sankranti begins. 📌 Inside ▪️ When we go inside the Gorakhnath temple, there is a pond in the campus where boats run.
