Setu Sedong

Situ Pengasinan or what is now more famous as Setu Sedong, has a long history for the people around it. Built during the Dutch Colonial era which was completed in 1918 and started to be watered in 1921, it was initially used as irrigation for the sugar cane plantations of the Sindanglaut Sugar factory. The natural atmosphere at Setu Sedong is able to provide a sense of comfort for the mood and mind. On the west side of the reservoir adjacent to the road a concrete wall has been made to prevent lake water from flowing onto the road. This concrete wall is a favorite place for visitors to relax and enjoy the calm waters of the lake. In fact, not a few visitors who have a hobby of fishing make this along the side of the reservoir on the roadside a spot for fishing. To get to the Setu Sedong area can be reached through two alternative roads. Those of you who are coming from the city in Cirebon can take the Cirebon road towards Sindang Laut and turn right towards Sedong sub-district. Or you can also access it via the Cirebon-Kuningan road and turn east to enter Durajaya Village and finally head to the Sedong area. Currently Setu Sedong has not been managed by the government in Cirebon as a Cirebon Tourism object so that visitors who come will not be charged a fee to enter the reservoir location. You can freely park your vehicle on the side of the reservoir while enjoying the view of Setu Sedong.
