The ‘Mahashivaratri Day’ or the ‘Great Night of Shiva’. Though many legends are associated with this ‘Day of Shiva, the mighty Aascetic Adiyogi (the first Yogi)’, symbolically this day represents the coming together of Purusha and Prakriti. It is the day when Shiva withdrawn in fields of trance emerges out and beholds the gaze of the World Mother.
