The divine festival of Sun God

Chhath pooja is one of the most celebrated festivals of India and has numerous stories associated with it. It lasts for 4 days and is celebrated twice a year in the months of Chaitra and Kartika of Hindu Calendar. ➡️The first day is called Nahaay Khay. ➡️The second day is called Rasiaav-Roti or Lohanda. ➡️The third day is called Sanjhka Aragh. ➡️The fourth day is called Bhorka Aragh. 🔴Chhath puja is celebrated to thank Sun God, who is considered as the source of life on this earth and fulfiller of wishes. 🔴 It is said that Chhathi Maiya (mother) is sister of Sun God and daughter of Lord Brahma. When Lord Brahma was creating this Universe, he made two parts of his body, one was called the Man and the other was called the nature from whom the Chhati Maiya was originated. Known as the granter of wishes, Chhathi Maiya is worshipped for getting blessings of parenthood. 🔴 It is also said that when Lord Rama and Sita Maiya returned to Ayodhya, Lord Rama and Sita kept fast and Chhath Puja was performed by Sita Maiya and was blessed with two beautiful sons namely Lava and Kush. 🔴It is said that Karan, who is the son of Sun God performed Chhath Puja while he was ruler of Angh Desh.
