Azim Bagh

The 90 acre Sunder Nursery also known as Azim Bagh was built by Mughals in the 16th century. It has around 15 prominent locations with 6 being listed under World Heritage sites. Not just from the point of architecture, the nursery is known by its name for having more than 300 types of trees. Sunder Nursery is an architectural marvel designed with perfection. The Central axis of the complex follow the route of Grand trunk Road and is designed on the basis of Persian carpeting concept of char bagh ( four gardens). The central axis start from the entrance of Humayun's tomb and extend upto Azimganj Sarai.
