Veer mela

Veer Mela is celebrated in the memory of the first independent martyr of Chhattisgarh, Veer Narayan Singh, at Raja Rao Pathar, located 15 km from Dhamtari on Dhamtari Jagdalpur National Highway in Balod district of Chhattisgarh state. This is a tribal festival, which is a 3-day festival celebrated in the winter season. In this festival, tribute is paid to Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh on 10 December and a Shobha Yatra is taken out.
