This is the unofficial 2nd highest peak of Odisha, a beautiful mountain with great landscape view. Night camp is must to have a great view of sunrise in morning. Okay!! Apart from this, this mountain is also has significance in our mythology in both Ramayana and Mahabharata. 👉 In Ramayana : this mountain referred as Mahendra parvat, which is the residing place for lord Parshuram. 👉In Mahabharata : During the banbas( exile ) of Pandavas, they stayed here in this mountain for a significant duration. You could still see the dedicated temples for each Pandava like Bhima temple , Kunti temple, Arjuna temple. —— 👉Apart from all the above still this place has significant from the scientific point of view. This place is declared as biodiversity hotspot Area.
