Dear Poulsbo, you are beautiful ❤️
📍Poulsbo
Poulsbo is a beautiful city adjacent to Liberty Bay in the north. The city was founded by a Norwegian immigrant named Jørgen Eliason. Scandinavians moved here because of the rich resources and extreme similarity to their native land. If you ask me to describe this place in three words, it would be scenic, vibrant, and tranquil.
Here’s what you can do in the city:
📍Visit the Port of Poulsbo and stroll around while ogling at the gorgeous view.
📍Visit the farmers market to grab fresh produce (only Saturday)
📍Explore the European eateries and indulge in delicious food, from Scandinavian cuisines to German.
📍Visit the amazing galleries
📍Stop by the most famous bakery in town - Sluys
📍Taste the delicious beer at Poulsbo’s first brewery- Valholl brewing
📍Visit Boehms and try their awesome candies, truffles, and ice cream
Reaching here:
* Seattle -> Bainbridge Island (Ferry from Pier 52)
* Bainbridge Island -> Poulsbo (Bus 390)
The bus stop is next to the ferry terminal.
Total trip cost: $100 (for two)
