Lai Chai Kok

Located at the west of Sham Shui Po, Lai Chi Kok Park is surrounded by Mei Foo Sun Chuen (Phase I) in the east, Container Port Road in the south, Lai King Hill Road in the west and Lai Wan Road in the north. With an advance transportation network, the Park can be reached by MTR and buses. Its development is carried out in 3 phases, covering a total area of 17.65 hectares. The Park provides a wide range of recreational and sports facilities and nearby complementary facilities include Lai Chi Kok Park Swimming Pool, sports centre and library. In 1993, the Government completed "the Railway Development Study", in which the need to construct a "Western Corridor" (West Rail) was identified. According to an agreement reached between Kowloon Canton Railway Corporation (KCRC) and the former Provisional Urban Council, the KCRC should be responsible for the reprovision of all recreational and sports facilities in the Lai Chi Kok Park affected by the West Rail project. These facilities include tennis courts, hard-surfaced soccer pitch, basketball cum volleyball courts, children's playground, gateball court, roller skating rink, jogging trail and landscape area, etc. Modification to the second and third phase development of the Park for the extension and improvement works has been made. The park contains a children's playground, a public swimming complex, an indoor sports centre (with squash courts, basketball courts, ballet studios and badminton courts), an outdoor running facility, a traditional Chinese garden, soccer fields, tennis courts and a skate park. The swimming facility has two main, three training, two children's pools and one diving pool. The main pools are 1.2m-1.4m and 1.4m-1.9m in depth). The Mei Foo skatepark is the largest skatepark in Hong Kong and also the most visited.It contains two half pipes and several quarter pipes, single rails and fun boxes. Most of the ramps are higher than 6 ft (1.8 m). The skatepark has been visited by various professional skateboarders such as Chris Haslam, Terrell Robinson, and Mike Peterson. My Little Airport, a local indie band, made a song about it. Aku suka banget taman ini...karena tempat nya yang strategis dan juga bersih banget kalau hari Sabtu minggu pasti ramai karena kebanyakan orang libur dan para BMI banyak juga yang jualan aneka makanan Indonesia...jadi kalau laper tidak perlu bingung semua Sudah tersedia disana. Habis makan kita akan melanjutkan aktivitas seperti berfoto ,selfi main tiktok,karaoke outdoor,ada sebagian orang² pada bawa tenda untuk tidur dan beristirahat.
