So last monsoon i got this rare beauty in my house they are seen rarely and i was lucky enough to get a single shot of the beauty sorry for poor image quality ..but i can't avoid uploading this Here is my special encounter from last year moth week do share this with your friends and share your experiences too ➡️ Common name :- Tubeworm moths ➡️ Binomial name :- Acrolophus sp ➡️ Description :- Acrolophus is a genus of moths in the family Acrolophidae, with, typically, great individual variation within species in color pattern, making field identification of many individuals difficult or impossible. It was described by Felipe Poey in 1832. Acrolophidae is a family of moths in the order Lepidoptera. The family comprises the burrowing webworm moths and tube moths. The family holds about 300 species in five genera, which occur in the wild only in the New World.
