Lotus Temple

LOTUS TEMPLE This petal formation temple known as LOTUS TEMPLE was built in 1986 by Faribroz Sahba at the center of the capital city Delhi. It is a temple that brings all religious people together to pray. This is why the temple came into existence and became famous. The building is built by 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of threeto form 9 sides. It has nine doors opening to the central hall with a height of slightly over 34.27 meters and a capacity of 1,300 people. Regardless of having 9 openings to the hall only two of them are used to maintain the calmness and purity of the temple. One is used for entrance of visitors and the second is used for the exit. You will find Volunteers and team members standing along the route and at prominent places to guide you about the place and provide the proper information abut the temple. Photography is allowed here only at specified locations. Taking pictures inside the hall is prohibited .
