WAVES
📍Teluknaga
In the field of oceanography, waves are known as internal waves. This phenomenon also exists in the field of meteorology, where waves propagate in the interface layer between warm and cold air (see pictures here and here, because these two fields of science do have many similarities, namely they are both involved with fluids. Meteorologists They are more involved with fluids in the form of gases, namely the atmosphere, while oceanographers are more involved with fluids in liquid form, namely sea water.
The discussion of waves in oceanography in general can be divided into 2 parts, namely surface waves and internal waves. Surface waves are phenomena that we will encounter when observing the sea surface, and are commonly referred to as waves. One of the factors that cause waves is the gust of wind, in addition there are other factors such as sea tides that occur due to the attraction of the moon and sun.
