Harshnath is a historical temple located near Sikar district in the state of Rajasthan . Near Harshagiri village there is a hill called Harshagiri, which is 3,000 feet high and has ruins of ancient temples more than 900 years old. In these temples an inscription on a black stone has been found, which begins with Shivavasti and which is written in the form of mythology. In its original state this temple was complete with a spire which is now ruined. Even in the present ruined state, this temple is notable for its architectural features and exquisite craftsmanship of the ornamental scenery in the form of dancers, musicians, warriors and Kirtimukh along with the idols of gods and goddesses. The second temple, situated on a high adhishthan attached to this temple, is of late medieval, and is dedicated to Shiva.
