Apis cerana indica, the Indian honey bee, is a subspecies of Asiatic honey bee. It is one of the predominant bees found and domesticated in India, Pakistan, Nepal, Myanmar,  Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand and mainland Asia.
