Hunder, once the capital of Nubra Kingdom is situated on the banks of Shyok River, a tributary of Indus River. Hunder is famous for its cold desert and double humped Bactrian camel. Hunder is situated at a distance of 125kms from Leh via Khardungla. One can go for Bactrian camel ride on the sand dunes in the evening only. There are plenty of homestay and hotels available in Nubra valley.
