Mojokerto Regency has a number of natural attractions that are worth visiting. One of the natural attractions that Brisik Friends can add to their list of vacation spots is Sumber Gempong. This is a natural spring located in Sukorame Hamlet, Ketapanrame Village, Trawas District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java. Although many visitors have come since it opened in 2018, not many know that Sumber Gempong has a natural panorama of the village with a stretch of terraced rice fields, mountain views, and springs that are practically similar to the atmosphere of Ubud in Bali. If Bali feels far away to visit, then Brisik Friends can try Sumber Gempong as an alternative choice. Because of its location far from the main road, Sumber Gempong is perfect for Friends of Brisik who are avoiding crowds and want to enjoy a refreshing green view. The only sounds Brisik's friends can hear here are the chirping of birds, the splash of water, and the rustling of tree leaves in the wind. Apart from being natural, the location of the springs right under the groves of banyan trees makes the water still very clean, clear, and fresh. Sumber Gempong is one of the arteries for the farmers here. Many residents use the water from Sumber Gempong to irrigate the fields. It is said that the source of water that emerges from below the ground surface is never dry even during the dry season. This is a blessing in itself for local residents who mostly work as farmers. Since its discovery, local residents have begun to form a dam resembling a pond measuring about 7 x 5 meters with a depth of approximately 1 meter. This aims to preserve nature while making it a tourist destination that will later be able to empower the local community's economy. The pool from this natural spring can be used as a place to soak and swim. Not only that, Sumber Gempong Trawas tourism also presents a very clear panorama of Mount Penanggungan flanked by green rice fields, typical of a village atmosphere. Sumber Gempong is located approximately 1 kilometer to the east from Ghanjaran Trawas Park or about 10 minutes by motorized vehicle. Haven't been able to bring four-wheeled vehicles because road access is not adequate. Because of its location in the hamlet, Teman Brisik had to pass through a rather narrow residential area. After passing through the village, Teman Brisik will follow a small road flanked by mountains and ravines, the condition of the road is quite good although it is quite winding.
