This is not from any popular Hill stations but from a very underrated place at the outskirts of Siliguri known as Gulma. This homestay is known as Humro Home Gulma.
About the PLACE :

Humro Home Gulma is a two storied building. The Homestay is located at a forest village known as Khairani – Punding forest village. The area is famous as an elephant corridor. The village was used as the location for popular hindi movies such as "Barfi" and "Jagga Jasoos".
How to COMMUTE:

This place is at a distance of 1 km from Gulma station and 3.5 kms from Sukna rail station. It is within 30 minutes drive from the heart of Siliguri town if you prefer to Drive.
You can also get Autos or Totos(a local public vehicle) and get down at Sukna and walk from there for about 3 Kms (not recommend to walk at night because the road goes through a forest).

The Village is surrounded by forest and greenery of tea gardens.
The Mahananda Wild Life Sanctuary is within 100 meters, full of beautiful birds and animals.
The never ending tea garden in front is mesmerizing.
Mahananda river is around 2 Kms from this place to relax and enjoy serenity nature.
Sukna station is around 3 kms away, the station is used for Himalayan Toy Trains, you can book one for Darjeeling tour.
Rongtong and Tindharia is a drive away from there as well.

All the rooms have attached toilets. The toilets have running hot and cold water and WC. The ground floor room also has a bath tub.
There is no power backup or air conditioning at the home stay. Food is available at the ground floor dining hall. Homely food is available on advance notice. You must try momos here 😊
The price will be in the range of 1.5k-2k INR per Night depending upon the room size.

The colors of tea leaves is beautiful in Monsoon and waether is very pleasant in winters. Personally I love it just after the monsoon.
