Street of Vasco

๐Ÿ“Vasco da Gama

I first saw this man last year during the lockdown, sleeping on the streets and talking to himself. After a few days, I saw him again from my balcony late in the night. He was again talking to himself. I saw an alcohol bottle next to him. Thought he must've been drunk. That's when my mother told me, that the bottle was filled with water that he takes regularly from a hotel and he wasn't smiling but he was crying out of hunger. A lot of people here including my father has given him food if he came begging for it. We often complain about working for extra hours in a 9-5 job or about how our business is going slower than others but we're still getting enough food to satisfy our hunger and these people on the street go without food for days. I wonder if they even get someone to talk to about the situation that they are in for years. #GuideBook
