Teerthraj Shikhar ji ⛰

Parasnath is the highest mountain peak in the state of Jharkhand with elevation of ~1370 meter. It is located in Giridih district of the Indian state of Jharkhand ( highest point in state), India. This is one of the most holy and major pilgrimage sites for the Jain community. Out of 24 Tirthankaras of Jains, 20 got nirvana on Parshvnatha Hills. There are temples, for each Tirthankara (24) there is a shrine (gumti or Tonk) on the hill. Some of the temples on the hill are believed to be more than 2,000 years old. 27 kms trek, mostly cemented, most people climb the trek barefoot due to religious reasons. trek is stretched across 5 hills, ascend is 9 kms to first temple there are 27 small temples.
