Pasar Beriman - Kota Tomohon , it's about one hour from Manado the Capital city of North Sulawesi in Indonesia , however it is best known for its other name ' Pasar Ekstrim'. Pasar means Market , and Ekstrim is Extreme , such a fitting name for the 'products' they sell inside. From Snakes , Bats , Jungle Rats to animals we consider pets they have it. Yes , It is controversial , the Minahasan have been eating them for centuries. And the market is a popular tourist destination. Still , it is inhumane. The market is some sort of gruesome nightmare comes true. The animals skinned , hung , grilled. Some are still in cages ! I know some people that are traumatized after visiting the Pasar Ekstrim.
