Unveiling Bario

Greetings dearest Pindlers, It has been awhile since I last posted here. So much had happened especially over the past weeks in the highlands of Ba'Kelalan, Sarawak. Besides being busy with our home building most weekdays, unforseen issues upon issues arose. Had to put aside works in order to fight for the rural communities' rights, helping to voice out on behalf of the voiceless, from land to timbers, from internet connections to other bigger matters and so on and so forth... it seems endless to the point where I decided, lets take a break for tonight here. I know I have promised to keep you all updated with new series of photos from Bario - another side of Sarawak's Highland - but I will be doing those postings slowly but surely, once issues here settles, or at least cools down. 🙏🏻 📷 - Here's a shot taken on a long lonely road, enroute between Pa Lungan village and Bario Asal (main village 'town') during one of the 50km ultramarathon trailrun event in 2017 called Runners Wild. 📄 - Mid May 2017, was when I first visited Bario Highland. Joined this particular run as a valid excuse to tour the villages. Something which i loved to do; join trailruns at hard to reach places, so I can explore 😆. Thanks to this trip, I have gathered hundreds of photos which I very much look forward to share here in Pindle! 💡 - Bario Highlands is home to the Kelabit people and Bario or “Bariew” means “the valley of the wind” in the Kelabit language. Bario also shares the highlands with the popular village called Ba'Kelalan and two smaller villages called Long Lellang and Long Seridan. (So much to write about Bario!
