š· - Here is Buduk Bui village seen from the roadside. Wished I could have taken a proper shot but it was already raining heavily. Perhaps just imagine this view when the sky is clear blue and the mountains and hills are all clearly visible. šš
š - Did you know? "Buduk Bui" village has its name from two meanings. Buduk means the 'peak' of a place. While Bui means 'wind'. This place is known for the crossings of winds from the surrounding hills and mountains.
š” - Ba'Kelalan is a valley in the Northern Highlands of Sarawak, which comprises of 9 villages inhabited by the ethnic group of the Lun Bawang, one of the Orang Ulu (people of the interior) tribes in Sarawak. Ba'Kelalan is situated at an altitude of about 900 metres above sea level, the climate is much cooler here and the forest vegetation is different from the lowland rainforests. It is 150km from the nearest town of Lawas and just 4km from the border with Indonesian Kalimantan.Ā
