š· - Time to catch some fish at one of the rice paddy field at Long Rusu village here in Ba'Kelalan!
š - Every year after the harvesting month which usually ends after the month of January, the rice paddy fields all over Ba'Kelalan will be cleared and this is the time when fishes will be abundance in presence! Fishing enthusiasts will normally be seen catching fish by hand, with fishing rods or even with the traditional 'Bubu' - a fish trap made of rattan or bamboo. The Bubu can be seen on my husband's head. š

š” - Ba'Kelalan is a valley in the Northern Highlands of Sarawak, which comprises of 9 villages inhabited by the ethnic group of the Lun Bawang, one of the Orang Ulu (people of the interior) tribes in Sarawak. Ba'Kelalan is situated at an altitude of about 900 metres above sea level, the climate is much cooler here and the forest vegetation is different from the lowland rainforests. It is 150km from the nearest town of Lawas and just 4km from the border with Indonesian Kalimantan.
