Baby Buffalo says hi πŸ‘‹

πŸ“Ba'kelalan

Excited Baby πŸƒ: Mommah, she's taking our foro! Quick, turn around! Say hi to Pindlers around the world!! πŸ‘‹πŸ“Έ Hungry Mommah πŸƒ: Hold on honey, it's lunch time, i'll grab some of these fresh salads first πŸƒπŸŒΏ πŸ“· - Here's a frequent sighting all around Ba'Kelalan. You get to see buffaloes almost anywhere and everywhere around the villages. Even on the roads! It is normal for young baby buffaloes to stare at humans, they must be wondering why this 'human-buffalo' stands on only two hind legs. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜… πŸ“„ - Did you know? Buffalo, like most mammals, bear live young, which are called calves. Usually, they have one calf at a time, and the female will carry the calf for a gestation period of 9 to 11 months before giving birth. πŸ“„ - Did you know too? The Lun Bawangs, the Malays/Kedayans and the Bisayas in Limbang and Lawas are long known as the traditional buffalo farmers in Sarawak, but for these communities, this bovine species does not only serve as a beast of burden in farming and transportation. Buffaloes are also used as dowries and in the famous buffalo race in Limbang and Lawas. They are also the symbol of wealth and social status within these communities. πŸ’‘ - Ba'Kelalan is a valley in the Northern Highlands of Sarawak, which comprises of 9 villages inhabited by the ethnic group of the Lun Bawang, one of the Orang Ulu (people of the interior) tribes in Sarawak. Ba'Kelalan is situated at an altitude of about 900 metres above sea level, the climate is much cooler here and the forest vegetation is different from the lowland rainforests. It is 150km from the nearest town of Lawas and just 4km from the border with Indonesian Kalimantan. πŸ“ Ba'Kelalan, Sarawak Highland, Malaysian Borneo #mycountry #malaysia #sarawak #nature #animal

This is a sight I miss. It used to be so common in the past when herds of them will be roaming freely.
