This is Nasu Palekko
📍Kecamatan Somba Opu
Nasu Palekko is one of the typical culinary delights of the Bugis tribe which is made from duck meat which is cut into small pieces like chopped.
Nasu Palekko itself comes from two words in the Bugis language, namely Nasu which means Cook and Palekko which means a frying pan made of earth. So, Nasu Palekko means cooking using a frying pan made of earth. Because in the past the Bugis people cooked Nasu Palekko using an earthen frying pan. However, over time, Nasu Palekko was cooked using an aluminum skillet.
This cuisine comes from Pinrang and Sidrap, South Sulawesi. Nasu Palekko has a distinctive spicy race that makes your tongue melt while eating these small meats. This is due to the combination of spices consisting of chilies, shallots, garlic, ginger, lemongrass, salt, other spices and vinegar.
For spicy and savory culinary lovers, you need to taste Nasu Palekko.
