Coban Rondo Waterfall Pujon

Really interesting place. There is a legend behind the naming of this Coban Rondo waterfall. Starting from a newlywed couple named Dewi Anjarwati from Mount Kawi and her husband Raden Baron Kusuma from Mount Anjasmara. After the age of marriage reaches 36 days or known as selapan, Dewi Anjarwati invites her husband to visit Mount Anjasmara. His parents had forbidden him to go, but both of them insisted on continuing their wishes. Until finally, when they arrived in the middle of the road, the husband and wife met Joko Lelono. Joko Lelono, whose origins are unclear, is captivated by the beauty of Dewi Anjarwati and tries to wrest it from the hands of Raden Baron. A fight ensued, Raden Baron then asked Dewi Anjarwati to be hidden in a place with a waterfall. Meanwhile, a fierce fight for three days and three nights broke out between Joko Lelono and Raden Baron. Until finally both of them died. Since then, Dewi Anjarwati has the status of a widow or rondo. The waterfall where Dewi Anjarwati waited for her husband was also named Coban Rondo which means widow's waterfall. It is said that the large rock under the waterfall was Dewi Anjarwati's seat while waiting for her husband. Now, the location of the waterfall in the Perhutani area is a popular tourist location.
